Job description

Are you a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in delivering successful projects within the highways sector? An exciting opportunity awaits you in Weston-Super-Mare to play a pivotal role in a highly anticipated highways scheme.

The position is able to offer payment to LTD company and the successful candidate will be required onsite 5 days per week (accommodation can be provided).

Key Requirements

• Extensive experience in major Highways projects, preferably with National Highways experience.
• Strong background in quantity surveying and cost management.
• Excellent knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes.
• Ability to manage and lead a team of surveyors effectively.
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
• Happy to work at least 4 days on-site per week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all quantity surveying activities for the National Highways scheme in Norwich.
• Manage project finances, including cost forecasting, budgeting, and risk analysis.
• Conduct regular site visits and liaise with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.
• Mentor and support junior members of the surveying team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, etc.) preferred.
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., MS Excel, CostX, etc.).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
