Qualifications

  • Experience in the construction / water industries.
  • Knowledge of IChemE and NEC forms of contract.
  • Experience in commercial management & Quantity Surveying.
  • Proven experience in monthly forecasting and cost analysis.

Our client, a major player in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team based in Manchester. This permanent role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of significant and diverse civil engineering projects, providing essential quantity surveying expertise within the water industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provision of accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit levels
  • Cost management and project forecasting
  • Drafting and updating monthly CVRs, cost and commercial plans
  • Subcontract procurement, negotiation, and financial accounting
  • Preparation of project applications for payment to final account settlement
  • Liaison with clients and third parties on commercial issues
  • Managing contract and subcontract agreements, primarily IChemE and NEC forms
  • Supporting internal commercial processes
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in the construction / water industries
  • Knowledge of IChemE and NEC forms of contract
  • Experience in commercial management & Quantity Surveying
  • Proven experience in monthly forecasting and cost analysis
Desirable:
  • Membership of RICS or similar professional body
  • CSCS card
  • Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
  • Experience managing or mentoring team members
