Job description
Senior QA Engineer

We are currently working with a Belfast-based tech team who are looking for a new QA Engineer to join their growing organisation. The company operates in the tech-for-good space and has been expanding rapidly over the past 12 months.

They are now seeking a Senior QA Engineer with experience in automation, Selenium, and front-end technologies. This is a hands‑on position with the opportunity to work closely with engineers and take a lead role within the team. The role is hybrid, with a requirement to work on‑site two to three days per week.

Role
  • Design, build and maintain modular automated tests that cover UI, API, integration and regression scenarios.
  • Embed testing into the delivery lifecycle so defects are identified earlier and releases are more predictable.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers and operations teams to refine acceptance criteria and manage risk.
  • Drive improvements in test reliability and speed, reduce flakiness and optimise test suites for CI.
  • Lead peer reviews of test code, runbooks and test plans; provide coaching to junior testers.
  • Keep clear records of test coverage, results and defect trends, and use data to influence quality decisions.
Desired Experience
  • Several years’ experience in automation‑focused QA or SDET roles, with responsibility for framework design.
  • Practical programming or scripting experience used to author tests and utilities.
  • Familiarity with integrating automated tests into modern build and release pipelines.
  • Comfortable investigating issues spanning front‑end, back‑end and APIs.
  • Experience working within collaborative software teams and Agile delivery models.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
Benefits
  • Health and dental cover
  • Free parking
  • Professional development schemes
