Job description

As the Senior Project Manager you will work closely with the Sizewell C supply chain team, the Responsible Designer (RD), the Sizewell C quality team and the suppliers to prepare for and execute the delivery phase of the project. This Senior Project Manager will focused on a group of system(s), building(s) and contracts within the Nuclear Island (NI) delivery programme., As Senior Project Manager within the NI programme, you'll be in the driving seat, leading a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of critical systems, structures, and components across several buildings and contracts within the NI area. From engineering through to commissioning, you'll ensure excellence at every stage by:

  • Taking ownership of budgets, schedules, risk management, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to manage complex interfaces smoothly.
  • Applying technical expertise and leadership to uphold the highest standards of execution and compliance.
About the candidate

You are an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects from concept to completion.

Track record of delivering projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment whilst ensuring high levels of safety, security and environmental responsibility, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment.

Background in mechanical, electrical, process, systems, or civil engineering within large-scale industrial plant environments.

Proven success in coordinating multi-disciplinary design and procurement activities, with a track record of driving teams to meet key deadlines.

Strong grasp of the complexities involved in major projects, particularly in managing interfaces between different scope areas.

Data mindset and digital competency - comfortable using data and digital tools to drive decisions and improve processes.

Proficiency in collaboration platforms such as MS Teams.

Experience in project management or project engineering, covering the full lifecycle from concept through to handover.

Confident communicator, with the ability to engage effectively in both client-facing and contractor-facing scenarios.

Exceptional communication, organisational, and leadership abilities.

Desirable

Existing relationship with RD or EDF supply chain would be an advantage.
