A leading educational institution in Glasgow is looking for a Project Manager to deliver a high-impact innovation project in the aerospace sector. The candidate will be accountable for coordinating technical teams and industrial partners, ensuring project outcomes are achieved on time and within budget. Strong leadership, communication skills, and a proven track record in project management are essential. This role offers a fixed-term contract for 24 months, with a competitive salary range.

This is an exciting and strategic role within PNDC, responsible for managing and delivering a high-impact innovation project in the aerospace sector. Initially focused on a single programme, the role is expected to evolve beyond the end of this project if PNDC's PMO function grows and its project portfolio expands.
The post-holder will be the single point of accountability for the successful delivery of a major project, coordinating across technical teams, industrial partners and, where appropriate funders, to ensure outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will shape and refine project management approaches that enable PNDC to deliver sustainable, commercially effective, and impactful innovation.

PNDC is one of the University of Strathclyde's industry-facing innovation centres, focusing on test and validation to accelerate the development of next‑generation power networks, decarbonised heat, and decarbonised transport solutions. It provides a real‑world environment for de‑risking and demonstrating innovations in a range of areas including grid modernisation, digital substations, power electronics, powertrains and whole energy system integration to drive the Net Zero transition.
