Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead process design and engineering efforts for industrial projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in chemical or mechanical engineering, particularly within biotech, pharmaceutical, specialty chemical, and renewable energy sectors. You will act as a technical specialist and team leader, managing project delivery, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating across disciplines to ensure technical excellence.

Your role

Technical Capabilities:

  • Lead process design efforts from conceptual design through commissioning.
  • Develop engineering documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, process flow diagrams, heat and material balances, equipment specifications, tender documents).
  • Perform calculations for equipment sizing and utility requirements.
  • Support construction, startup, and commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and cGMPs.
  • Participate in design reviews (3D models, piping layouts, building plans).

Business Development:

  • Consult with clients and identify and resolve process-related issues.
  • Participate in business development activities, including networking and preparing technical papers.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and support proposal development.
About you
  • Education: BS or higher in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum 15 years in process engineering.
  • Experience in design-build delivery methodology.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with clean utility systems, CIP design, and validation protocols.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • AutoCAD, Revit, Plant3D, HYSIS, AFT a plus.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
