We have an exciting opportunity for aSenior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP The Mount, a category C training prison built on the site of a former RAF station on the outskirts of Bovingdon village, Hertfordshire.

In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

Hours
Weekdays: 07:45 - 16:45 & 07:45 - 18:30
Weekends: 08:30 - 18:00
There is an expectation to work 1 weekend in 4.

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £52,507 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team by bringing your top-notch clinical skills and passion for care.
  • Undertake a wide variety of tasks including screening, assessments, examinations, and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency.
  • Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
  • Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams and supporting each other to do a great job.

Job responsibilities

As a Senior Nurse you will lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions. You will undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
