(Senior) Power Markets Associate, Client Solutions

Description

Aurora’s Software Solutions team is building the global investment analytics platform for the energy transition. Widely adopted by leading energy companies and investors, the platform changes the way that energy market analytics is performed and delivered.

To best enable the user experience, both through product development and analysis delivery, Aurora is developing a global Client Solutions team that provides the critical end-to-end interface between the underlying model development and the end user.

We are currently looking for an accomplished Senior/Power Markets Associate to join the Client Solutions team in Oxford. The successful candidate will lead engagements with clients predominantly in the GB & Ireland power markets, as they adopt Aurora’s software suite for conducting transactions and carrying out other strategic analyses. They will help manage the Oxford Client Solutions team, collaborating with other regional hubs to share resources & best practice, ensuring smooth functioning across business areas and driving critical internal workstreams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead & manage engagements with clients as you support them to use Aurora’s software suite, focusing primarily on the GB & Ireland power markets while also supporting cross-regional efforts as required
  • Conduct specialised software onboarding training for new customers
  • Perform “feature bridging” analyses to unlock the full potential of Aurora’s software capabilities to clients, including externalisation of internal features and enabling pre-release functionality
  • Promote & support the use of Aurora’s software during transactions, carrying out rigorous checks on inputs & outputs and delivering insights to clients and relevant 3rd parties
  • Provide ongoing support to clients using Aurora’s software products, from answering technical questions, to advising on use cases, in order to help them derive maximum business value from the software
  • Collect user feedback and share with product development teams in order to drive improvements in the software
  • Analyse usage & adoption metrics to perform strategic outreach & retention-building activities, in collaboration with Commercial Account Managers
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Required attributes:

  • 3+ years of experience at a major consulting or tech firm, energy company, financial services company, or other knowledge-driven firm or institution
  • Strong client-first mentality and committed to delivering value to clients
  • Experience working cross-functionally and managing stakeholders in order to drive initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving & analytical abilities (Excel proficiency at a minimum)
  • Experience in leading and delivering time-critical projects
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to collaborate across different seniority levels and with both technically and non-technically minded parties
