Job summary

the company seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to drive deployment architecture and platform maturity. You will be embedded with engineering teams, optimizing day-to-day delivery across the on-premise estate, and shaping the rollout of a modern Kubernetes platform while maintaining autonomy over CI/CD pipelines and guardrails.

This hands-on role emphasizes safe, rapid value delivery to production, with emphasis on self-service workflows, documentation, and scalable deployment practices.

Qualifications

• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills for a people-first culture.
• Must have strong experience with Ansible: roles, inventories, vault, idempotency.
• Comfortable with Docker and Docker Compose in production.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Strong scripting ability: Bash and Python.
• Experience with GitOps tooling: ArgoCD or Flux.
• Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager).
• Ability to think pragmatically and deliver iteratively within real-world constraints.

Responsibilities

• Utilise and contribute to Ansible-based deployment automation for feature releases.
• Monitor health within clusters and drive incident post-mortems.
• Maintain deployment runbooks and developer self-service guides.
• Shape platform design and self-service workflows for Kubernetes primitives.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes deployments with guardrails.
• Document deployment templates and best practices for onboarding.
