Job summary

the company is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to champion deployment architecture and drive platform maturity. You will be embedded with engineering teams, optimizing delivery across our on-premise estate while leading the rollout of a new Kubernetes platform and modernising how we deploy and scale workloads.

This is a hands-on role with real impact. You will own CI/CD pipelines, automated guardrails, and migration strategies to safely and rapidly ship value to production, with strong

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; people-first culture.
• Strong, demonstrable experience with Ansible: roles, inventories, vault, idempotency.
• Comfortable with Docker and Docker Compose in production environments.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Strong scripting ability: Bash and Python.
• Experience with GitOps tooling: ArgoCD or Flux.
• Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• BAU & Platform Stability: Maintain Ansible deployment automation and runbooks.
• Kubernetes: shape platform design, self-service workflows, guardrails and standards.
• Migrate workloads to Kubernetes, starting with non-critical environments.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes deployments using Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD.
• Implement application observability with metrics, logs and alerts.
• Create self-service docs and templates for developers to onboard safely.
