Job summary

A leading engineering team is looking for a Senior / Principal Piping Stress Engineer based in Warrington, UK. The role involves identifying stress-critical lines, performing piping stress analysis, selecting pipe supports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in Caesar II and a degree in engineering or equivalent experience of over 10 years. This position requires security clearance and is classified as inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status preferred
• Security clearance required or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Identify stress-critical lines and review P&IDs and line lists
• Perform piping stress analysis and flexibility studies
• Select pipe supports based on analysis and thermal expansion
• Review and sign-off piping isometrics and 3D models
• Prepare and approve technical documentation and stress reports
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend client meetings

Skills

Proficiency in Caesar II

Knowledge of ASME B31.3

Knowledge of BS EN 13480 codes

Education

Degree in Engineering or 10+ years equivalent experience
