A leading healthcare provider in Pontyclun seeks a Pharmacy Technician to manage Homecare Services. The role involves ensuring the efficient supply of medicines while supervising staff and adhering to pharmacy regulations. Ideal candidates will have significant pharmacy experience and an NVQ3/BTEC qualification. Manage, develop and participate in the provision of specialist Homecare Services ensuring that the supply of medicines is cost effective and meets the national homecare governance requirements.
Maintain centralised services onto one site, ensuring a constant supply of quality medicines through the Pharmacy and homecare providers to its patients by managing the purchase order, delivery and payment systems.
Co‑coordinate the Homecare service and staff specialising in Homecare Services, directing workflow and skill mix and plan and deliver the training of pharmacy staff undertaking NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications, including appraising and mentoring.
Work within a range of technical pharmacy codes and procedures supporting the Pharmaceutical Service and the Medicines Management agenda in the UHB.
To clinically screen and validate homecare prescriptions according to local and national standards, following a period of competency‑based training and assessment.
