Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate stock control and support billing processes.

37.5 hours per week (Rostered between 8:30am-8:00pm Monday to Friday and a Saturday a month rostered between 8:30/9am-2:00pm).

Are you an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Technician looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic Pharmacy team supporting the delivery of high‑quality patient‑focused services across pharmacy areas.

How you’ll help us make health happen

As a Senior Pharmacy Technician you will play a key role in managing the technical function of the Pharmacy Department. Under the supervision of the Chief Pharmacy Technician and Deputy Chief Pharmacist you will help coordinate dispensary duties, ensure compliance with regulatory standards and support the training and development of staff.

This is a flexible role across multiple pharmacy locations requiring a proactive and organised individual who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is committed to delivering safe and effective care.

What you’ll do
  • Manage daily workflow and workload in collaboration with the Chief Pharmacy Technician
  • Ensure patient‑focused responsive Outpatient Clinical Pharmacy services
  • Dispense and counsel patients on prescriptions in line with legal and professional standards
  • Maintain accurate stock control and support billing processes
  • Implement and review SOPs to ensure compliance with GPh.C, RPS, MHRA and Home Office regulations
  • Participate in audits, inspections and service improvement initiatives
  • Support training and development of new staff and work placementsContribute to CPD
  • Participate in rota duties including late shifts Saturdays and Bank Holidays
Key Skills / Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Leadership experience, ability to lead a team
  • Experience of working in a hospital pharmacy setting
