Job summary

yolk recruitment is seeking a Senior IT Support Technician in Lydney. This on-site role provides hands-on senior support across end-user computing, infrastructure, and manufacturing-adjacent systems, with escalation responsibilities and ITIL-aligned processes.

You'll typically have 5–7+ years' IT support experience in enterprise/manufacturing environments, covering Windows, AD, Exchange, endpoint management, and security controls. Driving licence required.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years hands-on IT support, enterprise/manufacturing context.
• Experience with Windows OS, AD, Exchange, and identity management.
• Experience with endpoint configuration, patching, hardening, and security controls.
• Familiarity with ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior escalation point for complex on-site IT incidents.
• Own high-impact issues from diagnosis to root-cause analysis and fix.
• Support on-site infrastructure, endpoints, and manufacturing adjacents.
• Work across Windows environments, endpoint management, AD, Exchange.
• Support endpoint configuration, patching, hardening, security controls.
• Lead site-level IT projects including upgrades and renewals.
• Support incident, problem, and change management per ITIL.
• Monitor recurring issues to reduce downtime.
• Assist asset lifecycle management and hardware standards.
• Collaborate with global IT teams, vendors, and third parties.
• Provide guidance to Level 1/2 colleagues.
