Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior IT Support Technician in Lydney.

This on-site role involves hands-on IT support across end-user computing, infrastructure and manufacturing-adjacent systems, acting as the escalation point for complex incidents. You will work with Windows environments, Active Directory, Exchange and identity management, supporting endpoint configuration, patching, hardening and security controls.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years hands-on IT support experience.
• Enterprise or manufacturing environment experience.
• Experience across Windows OS and enterprise endpoint management.
• Experience with Active Directory, Exchange and identity management.
• Experience with ITSM platforms.
• Incident, problem and change management experience.
• Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Mentoring IT professionals is valuable.
• Full driving licence and car is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior escalation point for complex and critical on-site IT incidents.
• Take ownership of high-impact issues from diagnosis to root-cause analysis and permanent corrective action.
• Support on-site infrastructure, end-user computing and manufacturing-adjacent systems.
• Work across Windows environments, endpoint management, Active Directory, Exchange and identity management.
• Support endpoint configuration, patching, system hardening and security controls.
• Lead site-level IT projects including technology refreshes, infrastructure upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support incident, problem and change management within an ITIL-aligned environment.
• Monitor recurring issues and service performance to help reduce incidents and downtime.
• Support hardware standards and asset lifecycle management.
• Work with global IT teams, vendors and third parties on technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Level 1 and Level 2 colleagues.
