Job summary

drnewitt.vincere.io is seeking a Junior IT Support Engineer for a Worcestershire site-based role. You will be the first point of contact for day-to-day IT queries across the business, supporting Windows, Microsoft 365, and hardware issues.

You will gain hands-on experience in 1st and 2nd line support, onboarding new staff, and assisting with IT projects while working closely with the IT Infrastructure Manager in a fast-paced foods manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Clear, confident communication with staff at all levels.
• Willingness to learn and develop in IT support.
• Solid understanding of Windows, Microsoft 365, basic networking, and hardware.
• Experience or interest in IT helpdesk is a plus.

On behalf of our client, a leading Fresh Food Manufacturing business based in Worcestershire, we are seeking an outgoing and proactive Junior IT Support Engineer to join their dynamic on-site team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a customer-focused IT professional to gain hands-on experience across both 1st and 2nd line support, working closely alongside the IT Infrastructure Manager in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

As the primary point of contact for day-to-day technical support across the business, you will play a crucial role in keeping both office and operational manufacturing teams running smoothly.

• 1st & 2nd Line User Support: Handling everyday technical queries across the whole company - resolving printer glitches and network connectivity issues to troubleshooting Microsoft 365 and hardware problems.
• User Onboarding & Setup: Setting up and configuring laptops, PCs, mobile devices, and IT equipment, as well as creating user accounts, managing access, and handling password resets for new starters.
• Systems & Equipment Maintenance: Assisting with software updates, system patching, IT security tasks, and maintaining accurate IT asset records.
• Infrastructure & Project Support: Escalating complex technical issues where necessary and assisting the IT Infrastructure Manager with broader IT maintenance, documentation, and key projects.

Your Skills & Experience

• You will be interacting directly with staff across the entire business - from the shop floor to management - so clear, confident, and articulate communication is essential.
• A positive, approachable personality with a strong desire to solve problems and help colleagues.
• A solid understanding of Windows, Microsoft 365, basic networking, and hardware configuration, backed by a genuine eagerness to learn and develop.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent organization, and the ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
• Desirable Extras. Previous experience on an IT helpdesk/service desk or certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft equivalents.
