Senior Nurse

Location: Coleford

Salary: £23.35 per hour

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

A respected care provider is seeking a compassionate and skilled Senior Nurse to join their team in Coleford. The home offers high-quality residential, nursing, and respite care, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for residents and staff alike.

The Senior Nurse role is pivotal within the home, combining hands-on clinical care with leadership responsibilities. Working closely with the Home Manager, this role carries a particular emphasis on clinical nursing leadership, supporting and guiding the care team to deliver outstanding, person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, motivate, and supervise the nursing and care team to ensure the highest standards of nursing and personal care.
  • Provide clinical guidance and manage complex care needs within a person-centred framework.
  • Oversee nursing assessments, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Support the wellbeing of residents, ensuring dignity, independence, and quality of life.
  • Monitor and supervise care practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and positive environment for both residents and staff.
About You:
  • RGN or RMN with a current NMC PIN.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience leading a care or clinical team.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and a commitment to best practice.
  • Skilled in, or willing to train in, a wide range of clinical areas including:
  • Medication administration
  • Catheterisation
  • End-of-life care
  • Verification of death
  • Syringe drivers
  • Gastrostomy care
  • Venepuncture
  • Diabetic care
  • Tissue viability
  • Epilepsy awareness
  • Sepsis awareness and deterioration management
