Ogilvy Health is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Medical Writer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become a cornerstone of our medical education and communications efforts, working on high impact projects that truly make a difference. We work on a hybrid basis and we are open to candidates based in either our vibrant London or thriving Manchester campuses.

About the Role

This role is a chance to immerse yourself in strategically important accounts, working across diverse project types within an integrated MedEd and brand communications team. You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering scientifically rigorous and engaging content, influencing healthcare professionals and advancing medical understanding. You’ll play a pivotal role in a fast‑paced environment, creating a broad spectrum of materials – from high level scientific concepts for global congresses to patient education resources.

What You’ll Bring
  • Life Sciences background: Providing a robust scientific foundation.
  • Significant Medical Communications Agency Experience: Proven track record of at least several years within the industry.
  • Broad Therapeutic Area Acumen: Deep understanding of disease specifics, treatment options, patient pathways, drug mechanisms of action, and complex scientific data across multiple areas.
  • Pharmaceutical Industry Insight: Comprehensive knowledge of the drug development process pre‑ and post‑launch.
  • Content Delivery Excellence: Consistent ability to produce scientifically accurate content that meets client objectives, budgets, and timelines.
  • High‑Science Storytelling: Experience crafting sophisticated scientific content on disease states, unmet needs, clinical data; often collaborating with key opinion leaders for presentations at major congresses.
  • Collaborative Spirit: History of working with external clinical experts.
  • Research Prowess: Proficiency in literature searches using databases such as PubMed, MeSH, and PubReMiner.
  • Regulatory Savvy: Knowledge and adherence to guidelines such as ABPI.
  • Statistical Understanding: Working knowledge of statistical analyses to interpret and communicate data.
  • Optional: experience in immunology, dermatology, or neuroscience.
