Role summary

Looking for an experienced mechanical engineering professional responsible for delivering complex engineering work packages within a highly regulated environment. The role focuses on providing robust, fit–for–purpose mechanical design solutions, supporting project delivery to cost and schedule, and acting as a technical authority within a specialist engineering area.

What you will be doing
  • Delivering mechanical engineering designs and technical solutions for complex systems and equipment
  • Producing, reviewing and approving engineering calculations, drawings, reports and design documentation
  • Applying relevant engineering standards, regulations and safety requirements throughout the design lifecycle
  • Identifying, assessing and resolving technical issues, risks and design changes
  • Supporting project planning, delivery and stakeholder communication
  • Providing technical guidance, mentoring and support to less experienced engineers
  • Contributing to safety assessments, design substantiation and assurance activities
  • Maintaining configuration control and design integrity across project phases
Formal qualifications or training
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status (or actively working towards professional registration)
  • Ongoing professional development aligned with relevant engineering standards and regulations
