We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Sheffield and Manchester. If you’re passionate about sustainable design, eager to take on challenges, and excited by the idea of seeing your work come to life in real buildings, this is your chance.

The role:
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers and clients to design smart, efficient, and sustainable building systems.
  • Create detailed designs, from calculations and specifications to reports and risk assessments with guidance and mentoring from senior colleagues.
  • Use the latest design software to bring your ideas to life and analyse how systems perform in the real world.
  • Take ownership of small to medium projects, developing your technical, project management, and client‑facing skills.
  • Deliver high-quality work that meets client expectations and pushes design boundaries.
  • Pass on your knowledge to junior engineers.
Your background:
  • A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or a related field) – desirable.
  • 4 years+ experience (or strong interest) in mechanical building services design across any commercial sectors – essential.
  • Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and IES/TAS (or a willingness to learn quickly!).
  • A genuine passion for engineering innovation, sustainability, and teamwork.
  • Great communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
