Overview

Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Implantable Medical Devices, Cambridge. We are seeking a Senior or Principal Manufacturing Engineer with experience designing production and manufacturing systems within the Medical Devices, Biotechnology or Sciences industries.

Responsibilities
  • Support design teams across multiple functions with a focus on Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
  • Build prototypes and test new rigs to ensure medical devices function correctly and can be manufactured efficiently.
  • Design, build, test, and maintain production machinery and associated systems.
  • Lead various projects as they arise and collaborate effectively within teams as required by the project.
  • Engage with Supply Chain where applicable to support manufacturing readiness.
  • Apply knowledge of ISO 13485, QMS and GMP in a Medical Devices context.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Process Engineering (or related field).
  • Experience in designing production systems in 3D CAD and maintaining production machinery.
  • Strong ability to work with design teams and contribute to manufacturing strategy.
