About the Role

A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in East Sussex. My client is a global centre of excellence, specialising in the design and manufacture of electronic controllers, instrumentation; drives, and has over 30 years of experience within electronic engineering combined with the attitude of a start‑up company.

Responsibilities

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will lead the NPI Development team and liaise with design staff to ensure overall quality and delivery of new parts to the highest standards. The role involves ensuring proposed design concepts can be manufactured cost‑effectively, overseeing prototype build, preparing relevant documentation, and actively participating in PFMEAs and DFMEs. The position also requires working with Operations personnel to optimise the assembly area layout and tooling for NPI build.

Qualifications

• Experience with PCBA and leading a manufacturing or production team.
• Experience in a New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD) role within electronics assembly, PCB/cable assembly or electronics box build.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP.
• Engineering Degree or equivalent with provable experience in a similar position.
• Awareness of all types of electronic printed circuit assembly techniques is beneficial.
