A leading energy provider in Warwick is seeking a Senior Manager - Regulatory Outcomes to oversee relationships with Ofgem and drive regulatory engagement. The Role

Senior Manager - Regulatory Outcomes

In this role you will be taking up a strategic role in our Electricity Transmission business, with overall responsibility for managing our day to day relationship with Ofgem through clear, transparent and effective engagement, communication and reporting.

What you\'ll be getting up to
  • Developing relationships with key Ofgem stakeholders to understand their requirements and key priorities
  • Building on this insight, develop and implement an engagement and communications strategy, with associated reporting to demonstrate progress against Ofgem’s key priorities.
  • Setting and driving the standards we expect when our teams engage with Ofgem, including our formal submissions, to ensure our communications are high quality, clear, transparent and consistent
  • Contributing to how we develop future regulatory frameworks in support of delivering major projects.
  • Horizon scanning for future regulatory issues and helping to build mitigation plans, including how we demonstrate to Ofgem the work we are doing to proactively manage them
  • Provide advice and guidance to our teams on how they can most effectively engage with Ofgem. This will span multiple disciplines from regulation, finance, engineering, strategic planning and project delivery.
  • Take a lead role in managing and mitigating key issues and risks across our portfolio of mega-projects including those in construction through to those currently in early stages of development.
What\'s in it for you?

Basic salary between £83,000 p.a. to £105,000 p.a. depending on experience.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a company car or allowance, 28 days annual leave, private medical cover, a bonus of up to 40% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. Key Accountabilities
  • To develop and implement stakeholder management plans and risk management plans, ensuring relationships, plans and key actions are agreed, developed, tracked and communicated for all stakeholders.
  • To develop and maintain productive, trusted relationships with customers and regulators.
  • To manage reporting to the Regulator (data provided by Business Performance team and influence the Regulators on matters of common interest to ensure the best outcome for the business. This includes the development and implementation of network codes, answers to specific requests for consultation / responses to proposals, and attendance at working groups.
  • To ensure legislative and regulatory changes that impact the business are understood, communicated and implemented in accordance with licence requirements.
About you
  • Experience of working in commercial role in a highly regulated industry, preferably energy, utilities or infrastructure.
  • Experience of project management & delivery.
  • Experience of working closely with and managing relationships with a regulator, preferably OFGEM.
