Our client helpa financial services organisations – Banks, Insurance companies, FMIs, Wealth and Asset managers, and Fintechs – to change and adapt to the environment in which they operate. Changes may be driven by decisions to digitise, to streamline, to pivot, to respond to new regulation or to harness the benefits of analytics or new technology. Or they may be driven by acquisition or disposal. Whatever the reason, our clients are continually re‑designing parts of the organisation, and that’s where our client comes in.

Responsibilities
  • Scope, price and design our approach for a particular client (with support from a Partner or Director), and then to lead delivery of this work.
  • Lead / support business development and grow revenues from the existing work portfolio.
  • Use leading practice problem‑solving methodologies to address client issues and structure projects.
  • Work and collaborate with colleagues from other service lines such as technology, finance, customer or analytics.
  • Lead high quality analysis that combines Firm expertise and market insight with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Act as a main client interface, providing effective, credible, and timely communications with clients.
  • Generate thought leadership, drive knowledge sharing and develop consulting skills within our team.
  • Develop the team culture, inspiring and empowering team members and supporting their career development.
Skills, qualifications and experience
  • Deep expertise in Organisational Design. This should include the full range of OD, including role definition, objective and KPI definition, ways of working, hierarchical design, cost modelling and sizing, grade levelling, and people transition planning. An appreciation of organisational design in an agile context is desirable. Experience of working with Org Vue would also be beneficial.
  • A strong appreciation of different approaches to manage behavioural change. Experience of the core techniques of leadership alignment, case for change, stakeholder identification and management, sequencing for the change programme, communication and engagement, impact assessment, and planning people transition. In the area of technology implementation, they would expect experience of user adoption approaches including training and awareness.
  • The strongest candidates will have capability across both Change and OD, but they are also interested in candidates who are deep specialists in OD.
  • They are looking for candidates who understand the financial services environment and have undertaken consulting projects in one or more of the sub‑sectors mentioned above.
  • As this role is a Senior Manager role, and the consultant would be expected to lead and manage other consultants, they expect that candidates will have experience in consulting, ideally with a recognised professional services firm, or global consultancy. In‑house consulting experience is also valued.
  • Candidates will need to have the personal skills to influence, communicate with and work with senior clients, often at C‑Suite or just below.
  • They value a collaborative mindset. Everyone at the firm is talented and ambitious, and they are are a close‑knit team that wins together, and they value people who will share knowledge and support colleagues.
  • Above all, they are looking for people with a strong sense of curiosity – they want people who are interested in their clients, care about their business, are motivated to research and understand them, and are prepared to work hard to make them a success. And they want people who are curious about their discipline – the management of the workforce – and who continually update themselves, researching the latest trends, and sharing these insights with colleagues and clients.
