ABOUT THE ROLE

Chanel is looking for a Senior Manager to help lead its Climate & Nature performance reporting for a maternity cover. In this role, you\'ll manage the roadmap for Climate & Nature reporting and KPIs in line with the sustainability strategy and relevant frameworks, in close collaboration with sustainability, finance, and its global business units.

IMPACT YOU CAN CREATE AT CHANEL
  • Leading and preparing the annual reporting process and aggregate reportings (CDP and SECR) as well as trend analysis on Sustainability KPIs to inform action plan progress and ensuring fulfilment of all external reporting obligations.
  • Leading the coordination and execution of the assurance process (external auditors) of the sustainability report, ensuring timely access to documentation, alignment with audit standards, and resolution of any findings to maintain data integrity and reporting credibility.
  • Responsible for driving engagement within the regional and divisional community via a global forum to discuss, identify, and drive initiatives aimed at improving data quality, integrity, and utilisation across the organization.
  • Working with Finance and IT teams on driving the automation of reporting processes and building the reporting ecosystem (Power BI) required to meet the targets set.
  • Piloting with the regions on supply chain engagement and integrating supplier data (e.g. FSC certification) into the company’s carbon reporting.
  • Collaborating with internal and external communications to ensure CHANEL’s progress is effectively communicated to build employee engagement, brand and reputation (CHANEL’s Sustainability Performance Extract and Sustainability-Linked Bond update)
WHAT YOU WILL BRING/HAVE
  • Substantial experience working in ESG/corporate sustainability reporting.
  • Finance or consulting background will be a plus.
  • Good knowledge of external reporting frameworks and the wider reporting landscape trends (GHG Protocol, CDP, SECR, CSRD etc).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, and experience working with data or corporate data systems (e.g. Excel, PowerBI, Microsoft) to understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills, experience in working cross-functionally to negotiate and influence senior management.
  • Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong team player with an intellectual curiosity and self-motivated personality.
  • Fluent in English, French would be nice to have.
