Senior Management Accountant – Swindon – Hybrid – 12 months

Are you a qualified accountant with a passion for turning complex data into actionable insights? Responsibilities

• Overseeing the closing process for individual trading desks, with a strong focus on profit and loss analysis.
• Facilitating the Accounting closing process, ensuring smooth month / quarter / year‑end procedures and driving continuous process improvements.
• Reconciling performance reporting (full fair value view) to IFRS and local standards while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborating closely with multiple departments to evaluate new business transactions.
• Posting unrealised derivatives and accruals for realised transactions.
• Collaborating with the Accounting Data team to enhance transparency and consistency across data streams and support the development of automated processes.
• Analyzing accounting data to identify process or system‑related issues, providing transparency to management.
• Reconciling and analysing key balance sheet accounts and preparing commentary.
• Providing close collaboration with auditors for accounting queries.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACMA/ACCA/CIMA) or similar qualification (Accounting, Finance or MBA, etc.) with 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience working with complex data.
• In‑depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
• Pro‑active attitude and team‑oriented approach.
• A questioning and inquisitive mind with a proven ability to challenge and revise processes as required.
• Ability to develop, nurture and manage close relationships across the business and in multiple locations.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA (advantageous, but not essential).
• Experience with SQL.
• Audit background.
• Experience in the field of risk management and valuation or controlling.
