JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer to shape reliability across large-scale platforms.

You will define non-functional requirements, set availability targets, and ensure SLIs/SLOs are designed into production, with a strong emphasis on customer experience and robust testing. You will lead observability assessments end to end, map user journeys to alerts, own failure modes and effects analyses, and run chaos gamedays to validate resilience at scale while

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on site reliability engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
• Advanced understanding of site reliability culture and principles with experience implementing SRE in an application or platform.
• Advanced knowledge of observability: monitoring, alerting, telemetry collection and SLOs.
• Hands-on fluency writing and debugging queries against a time-series metrics store (PromQL or equivalent).
• Experience defining service level indicators/ objectives from user journeys and distinguishing customer-facing indicators from health checks.
• Experience using enterprise AI capabilities to improve reliability workflows, with strong validation and data-sensitivity awareness.

Responsabilités

• Creates and delivers designs, roadmaps, and programme charters with the engineering team.
• Runs observability assessments end to end and designs chaos gamedays to validate designs.
• Scores applications against production-readiness and enforces go-live gates.
• Mentors technologists and promotes SRE adoption across teams.
• Collaborates to implement journey-level indicators and robust alerts with minimal toil.
