Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Glasgow seeks a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to define reliability strategy and drive robust, scalable platforms. You will lead incident response, shape observability, and guide AI-assisted reliability workflows across the SDLC.

You will mentor peers, conduct resiliency reviews, and partner with product teams to establish SLOs, error budgets, and measurable improvements in service levels.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on site reliability engineering concepts.
• Hands-on AWS experience deploying and operating resilient workloads.
• Proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, and enterprise system architecture.
• Fluency in Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .NET.
• Observability experience: monitoring and telemetry across large systems.
• CI/CD practices and tooling proficiency.
• Container technologies and orchestration experience.
• Troubleshooting networking technologies.
• Advanced knowledge with depth in one or more disciplines; evaluating new tech.
• Experience using AI capabilities for incident analysis with validation.
• Ability to evaluate AI recommendations for correctness and guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Champion SRE culture; document and share knowledge across forums and communities.
• Improve reliability and stability using data-driven analytics; resolve bottlenecks.
• Identify service level indicators and partner to set SLOs and error budgets.
• Design and implement observability frameworks and alerting strategies.
• Serve as primary contact during major incidents; diagnose and resolve quickly.
• Share deep technical expertise across the team; mentor peers.
• Drive AI-assisted reliability workflows across the SDLC and toolchain.
• Use enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate incident triage and post-incident analysis; ensure data security.
