A leading construction consultancy in Newbury is seeking a Chartered Landscape Architect to lead landscape design for a major construction program. You will be essential in delivering environmental and sustainability outcomes, requiring expertise in landscape architecture and relevant software tools. This is an exciting opportunity for a to join Mace’s Responsible Business team in the UK and deliver client-facing consultancy services including the design, advisory, management and co-ordination of various climate change, sustainability and / or social value related activities on projects and / or programmes.
The successful candidate will be working on a £2bn+ construction programme based in Reading area to deliver new manufacturing capability including multiple projects. The client’s ambition is to develop a best-in-class new sustainable facility, delivering maximum environmental and social benefits.
This position is ideal for a Chartered Landscape Architect who is experienced in project leadership, design and delivery, with a good holistic understanding of landscape and biodiversity, and a basic knowledge of sustainability aligned with current and future trends in the built environment.
Candidates must be a UK National and will need to progress through the security clearance process.
Hybrid / remote working is supported with monthly travel to site and ad-hoc travel to other UK locations.

Integrated into the programme management office, the successful candidate will lead environment / sustainability workstreams, providing landscape expertise for a range of disciplines, and will be responsible for design and delivery of the programme-wide landscape architecture outcomes. This will include delivery of landscape design, processes and procedures as well as driving high standards of contractor environmental performance.
