Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior IT Support Technician to join an organisation based in Lydney. The role involves acting as the escalation point for complex IT issues and supporting on-site IT services across end-user computing, infrastructure and manufacturing-adjacent systems.

You will work with Windows environments, Active Directory, Exchange, identity management and ITIL-aligned incident/problem/change management. A full driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of hands-on IT support experience in an enterprise or manufacturing environment.
• Experience across Windows operating systems and enterprise endpoint management.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange and identity management.
• Experience with ITSM platforms and incident, problem and change management.
• Ability to diagnose root causes and drive corrective actions.
• On-site infrastructure and end-user technology support experience.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior escalation point for complex on-site IT incidents.
• Own high-impact issues from diagnosis to root-cause and fix.
• Support on-site infrastructure, end-user computing and manufacturing-adjacent systems.
• Work across Windows environments, endpoint management, AD, Exchange and identity mgmt.
• Support patching, system hardening and security controls.
• Lead site-level IT projects including upgrades and improvements.
• Participate in ITIL-aligned incident, problem and change management.
• Monitor recurring issues and service performance to reduce downtime.
• Support hardware standards and asset lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with global IT teams, vendors and third parties.
• Provide mentoring to Level 1 and Level 2 colleagues.
