Sopra Steria Ltd is seeking a Service Design and Transition Manager to support the design and transition of IT services within critical Defence and National Security programmes. You will collaborate with project managers and delivery teams to ensure services are operationally ready and effectively supported in live operations.

You will influence how services are delivered, challenge existing processes and help shape ways of working across teams.

Qualifications

• A strong background in IT with IT Service Management, Service Delivery or Service Design/Transition.
• Good working knowledge of ITIL v3 or v4; ITIL certification would be advantageous.
• Experience working with Project Managers or delivery teams across lifecycles and methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience mapping and documenting IT service processes to identify gaps and improvements.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to engage stakeholders and influence decisions.
• Understanding of IT service costs, resource planning and security in complex environments.

Responsabilités

• Support the design and transition of new and changing IT services, ensuring operational readiness and live support.
• Work with Project Managers and delivery teams to ensure service management activities are captured and governance gates are met.
• Review IT service management processes to identify improvements and map/document efficient ways of working.
• Review service proposals and costs with technical, operational and commercial teams to understand resource needs and support models.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Service Delivery Managers and stakeholders to present recommendations and align with operational expectations.
• Identify and manage risks related to service transition, ensuring security, knowledge transfer and acceptance criteria before go-live.
