Job summary

Sopra Steria is seeking a Service Design and Transition Manager to lead the design, transition and operational readiness of IT services within Defence and National Security programmes. You will influence service delivery, map processes and drive improvements across cross-functional teams.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, Service Delivery Managers and security/commercial teams to ensure resources, costs and support models meet requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong IT environment background across IT service delivery, management, design or transition.
• Experience with ITIL v3/v4 and governance practices.
• Collaboration with project managers and delivery teams in complex programmes.

Responsibilities

• Support design and transition of new/changing IT services to live operation.
• Collaborate with project managers and delivery teams to ensure governance gates are met.
• Review and improve IT service management processes and documentation.
• Assess resource requirements, costs and support models for service proposals and business cases.
• Facilitate discussions with stakeholders and align services with operational expectations.
• Identify risks and ensure security, knowledge transfer and acceptance criteria before go-live.
