Job summary

A leading agricultural recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Irrigation Manager in Staffordshire. The successful candidate will oversee all automated and manual irrigation systems, managing both irrigation and fertigation programmes. Responsibilities include leading a team, monitoring crop conditions, and taking on new projects to improve productivity and sustainability. The role offers a salary of £35,000 to £45,000 based on experience, along with 28 days of holiday and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing irrigation systems, ideally across soft and stone fruit crops.
  • Strong understanding of fertigation, including EC and pH management.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; experience managing multilingual teams is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all automated and manual irrigation systems across a commercial farming operation.
  • Manage irrigation and fertigation programmes and monitor crop and soil conditions.
  • Lead an irrigation team and take responsibility for new irrigation projects.
