Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Auditor to conduct internal audits, identifying system weaknesses and making recommendations to management. The ideal candidate will have relevant audit qualifications and experience with internal control assessments. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work with various teams to improve risk management processes. Applicants should have the ability to travel around the Borough and may need to work evenings.

Qualifications

• Studying for or have achieved the Certified Internal Auditor or equivalent.
• Ability to describe an internal audit assignment carried out, including role and key findings.
• Proficient in using MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Undertake project-based internal audit assignments with associated deadlines.
• Identify weaknesses in internal controls and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate audits with officers of the Council to stay within timeframes.
