Senior Independent Living Support Worker | 9372 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £37,280 to £39,152 per annum plus on-call allowance | Grade I | West Norwich, Norfolk

In Norfolk we have exciting and ambitious plans to enhance the way we work with young people and their families. Our Supported Accommodation service works to create and promote a positive environment for each young person in the independent living scheme.
As the Senior Support Worker, you will support the management team in the running the day to day running of the homes in this hub, and you will ensure the young people in the homes receive a service that promotes their wellbeing and independent living skills. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required for this role.
As a positive role model to the young people engaged in the independent living scheme, you will be excellent at forming effective relationships with young people and their families to ensure that their emotional and physical needs are met and opportunities for their development are maximised.
You will be part of the management team and be required to take part in the out of hours on call system for which an allowance is paid.
You will be joining a highly motivated and enthusiastic team who endeavour to make significant changes in young people's lives.
Ideally you will have a background in supported accommodation or be experienced in working with young people. You will be required to have a professional qualification relevant to working with children, young people and families or equivalent experience and you will be expected to supervise staff.
To work within this environment, you will need to be committed to making a difference in the lives of young people. You will need to be reliable, have good personal relationship and communication skills as well as high professional standards. You will also need to be able to make sound judgements under pressure and respond effectively in a crisis.
