Moog Aircraft Group - Military Actuation, is looking for a bright, analytical engineer with a strong grasp of hydraulics and mechanical systems based in Wolverhampton. This is a technical role focused on ensuring Moog's primary flight control products meet stringent performance and safety requirements. Responsibilities
- Interpret and manage customer technical requirements for primary flight control products, ensuring they are accurately translated into Moog specifications.
- Size and select actuators to meet performance requirements, using hydraulic and mechanical principles.
- Perform detailed analysis and modelling of system performance, including simulation techniques to predict behaviour under various conditions.
- Define and oversee compliance activities, including validation and verification plans, test schedules, and procedures.
- Lead technical investigations into product issues, working with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports, including compliance matrices, test reports, and proposals for new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across design, stress, safety, and materials engineering to ensure robust solutions.

Qualifications
- Ideally, a first-class or high 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering (with exposure to hydraulics and systems engineering).
- Strong understanding of hydraulics and mechanical equipment performance analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in modelling and simulation (MatLab, Mathcad).
- Ability to work across the full product lifecycle-from requirements definition to qualification and entry into service.
- Clear communication and report-writing skills; confident working independently and in multi-disciplinary teams.
