Role

HGV Workshop Senior Technician – Hull

Overview

Due to continued expansion, we are seeking a HGV Workshop Senior Technician to join our Hull team.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing Technicians, in charge of maintaining stock levels, managing workloads and scheduling quality and compliance documentation ensuring clear communication/team work.
  • Perform day to day vehicle/trailer repairs and inspections in the workshop and also at other sites.
  • Undertake the maintenance of equipment and ancillary equipment to manufacturers and company standards and procedures.
  • Ensure that all relevant administration and documentation are to the correct standard (Service sheets, Job cards, parts) working with the admin team.
  • Liaising with the drivers and traffic department to ensure all the vehicle servicing, defects and issues are dealt with straight away.
  • A solid understanding of electrical systems, fleet management systems and DVS compliance.
  • To be flexible in approach to the role as a whole.
  • Assist in the improvement and development of the workshop operation.
  • Work and communicate well as part of a small team with all departments.
What We're Looking For
  • Fully Qualified LGV workshop Technician who has the desirable skills to progress within our company
  • HGV level 3 Min qualification.
  • Knowledge of IT, fleet management and Diagnostic Systems.
  • Welding and Fabrication Skills.
  • Flexible approach to a job as a whole.
  • HGV license
Shift pattern
  • Monday to Friday 7.00am to 5.00pm / 8.00am to 6.00pm alternative shifts
  • Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
  • Good rate of pay depending on experience.
  • Ongoing training for career development.
