A regional healthcare provider in York is seeking a passionate Healthcare Support Worker for their Acute Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward. Responsibilities include providing pre and post-operative care for patients, fostering a compassionate environment, and maintaining professional boundaries. Do you have the care, compassion and skills to be part of a team making our patients’ stay and experience as comfortable as possible? Then this could be the role for you. We are seeking dynamic individuals who are passionate about patient care to join our Acute Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward. On Holly Ward, we provide pre and post operative care for patients requiring orthopaedic surgery. Patients are often frail/elderly and require assistance with all aspects of personal care and rehabilitation.
As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will be expected to work a combination of shifts including nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.
Please be aware that you must be able to attend a full time induction programme for the first 4 weeks in your new role. Interviews for this position will be held in person ONLY. Remote interviews will not be available. The job description outlines the primary role and responsibilities of a Senior Health Care Support Worker and is not exhaustive and may be amended from time to time as the needs of the service change. Some service areas may have additional skill requirements which are subject to competency based assessments. There is an expectation for post holders to be flexible in order to provide cover to other clinical areas where there is an increase in service demand.
