Job summary

A leading aerospace engineering firm is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead a team in developing safety-critical electronics and software systems. Responsibilities include leading product development, managing requirements, and creating hardware designs. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and strong experience in electronic product development. This is a hybrid position located in Hastings, East Sussex.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a dynamic group of Hardware Engineers responsible for the development of new products
  • Requirement management, organization, and leading the team
  • Analysis of customer requirements
  • Create & modify electronic designs and architecture
  • Use simulation tools to generate verification test benches

  • Hardware Integration

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent will be considered
  • Strong industry experience relating to electronic product development in safety critical systems.
  • Hardware architecture
  • LRU-level Hardware Engineering – integration of multiple interface types e.g. PCIe, 1553B
  • Hardware design and verification against an agreed set of requirements
  • Good understanding of signal and power wiring specifications
  • Good understanding of requirements capture, work package definition and effort estimation
  • Create and modify analogue and digital hardware designs
