Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Environmental Services team across the UK & Ireland. You will lead complex desk studies, interpret geotechnical reports, and work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver ground-risk intelligence for major infrastructure projects.

You will mentor graduates and engineers, champion digital innovation, and contribute to nature-positive, sustainable solutions within a collaborative, hybrid-working environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or related discipline.
• Chartered status with ICE or Geological Society, or close to achieving it.
• Extensive experience in desk studies, site inspections and geotechnical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex desk studies and interpretative geotechnical reports for diverse ground conditions.
• Oversee analysis of geotechnical structures and provide ground-risk design intelligence.
• Mentor graduates and junior engineers, promoting high technical standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to digital workflows.
