Job summary

A large healthcare organization in Cardiff is seeking a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry. The role requires managing both in-patients and clients in the community. Successful candidates will be on the GMC Specialist Register or be a Specialty Registrar nearing CCT. Qualifications

• Comprehensive training and experience in Psychiatry including in-patient and community work.
• Evidence of participation in audit and understanding role of audit in improving medical practice.
• Evidence of active research interests.
• Evidence of teaching medical students and resident doctors.
• Evidence of effective leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as Responsible Clinician to in-patients and community clients.
• Work closely with other Consultant Psychiatrist and Specialty Doctor posts.
• Manage new referrals and oversee individual care pathways.
• Engage in audit and participate in the revalidation process.
