ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a senior full-stack product engineer with experience taking ownership of projects, code, database architecture, and scalability. You will need to be proactive, keen to learn and apply your existing knowledge, and hard-working. You will need to thrive in the startup environment where you have significant responsibility. You should be a super-star - someone who can learn quickly, take ownership, and is excited by responsibility and rapid innovation. We’re looking for people who are excited about the potential of influencer marketing and how technology can be used to drive increased growth and outcomes from campaigns. Experience in marketing / MarTech / AdTech and panels will set you apart in this role.

OUR PRODUCTS

The engineering team you’ll be joining are responsible for three main products :

• Our (mainly internal) platform where our insight team and our clients design surveys and analyse results
• Our SaaS platform (2D), which is built for scale as a pure-tech product
• Our survey interface, where people respond to surveys

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Hands-on building :

• Build features across the full stack that support adding value across the business
• Engage with all stages of the development process from planning and refinement to execution and retrospectives
• Balance pace with quality to ensure you’re always delivering the best value for the business

Best Practices :

• Set technical best practices, balancing pace of delivery with quality, scalability and productivity
• Advocate and implement high-speed processes and practices for writing high-quality code and conducting thorough code reviews
• Collaborate on technical strategic decision-making, balancing the needs of the business with technical feasibility and performance

Security and Reliability

• Collaborate to ensure the ongoing reliability of our systems
• Ensure you build secure and performant code and systems

Product Engineering

• This is a product engineering role, where you must have excellent communication skills with key stakeholders and a product mindset
• Have a strong voice in problem discovery and solution architecting, always from a product and customer mindset

Cross-department collaboration

• ThisThat has a diverse set of skills in its small team - collaborate with them proactively to get the best outcomes
• Work directly with our data and product teams to build integrated solutions

Mentoring :

• Provide mentorship, guidance, and feedback to team members to help them improve both technically and professionally
• Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, trust, and continuous improvement within the team

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Expertise in Typescript
• Expertise in either ReactJS or Angular
• Strong experience with a cloud service provider like GCP
• Experience in early-stage, high-growth startup environments
• Experience building AI (LLM)-integrated features
• A product mindset and experience making product decisions

Desirable

• Previous founding (or first few hires) experience
• Experience with NodeJS
• Experience with NestJS
• Experience with both ReactJS and Angular
• Experience or interest in the creator economy
• A good eye for design and expertise with CSS
• Background in B2B SaaS and / or enterprise software
