Upperton Pharma Solutions is a Nottingham-based CDMO specializing in the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical products, offering a comprehensive service from early-stage feasibility to GMP clinical manufacture. The Role

The Senior Formulation Development Scientist develops new and existing drug products across various dosage forms, including tablets, capsules, liquids, inhalers, nasal devices, and sterile products. They lead laboratory activities on their development projects, providing technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure successful outcomes. The role involves managing project work, supporting junior staff, and ensuring proper documentation.

We are particularly interested in candidates with solid experience in oral dosage formulation development or sterile product development.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Manage practical and written project work, adhering to safety standards and meeting project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
• Lead laboratory activities, ensuring high standards across various formulation equipment.
• Support and mentor junior staff in project activities.
• Lead development projects, set timelines, and provide updates during meetings.
• Problem-solve and provide solutions to challenges.
• Ensure accurate documentation, including operating records, lab books, batch records, reports, SOPs, and risk assessments.
• Work within the Upperton Quality System.
