Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services

Responsibilities

• Electrical Engineer position leading the design and development of electrical systems for RIBA Stage 4-5 construction projects.
• Oversee and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Collaborate with MEP, architectural, and structural teams to integrate electrical systems effectively.
• Have technical oversight of junior engineers and support their professional development.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency strategies within electrical designs.
• Working on M&E projects with values ranging from £1m to £15m.

Qualifications

• Must have a Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Must have experience in electrical design within the building services sector.
• Ideally Professional Registration with IET or similar body (Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer status preferred).
• Strong knowledge of HV / LV distribution, lighting, fire alarm, power, and containment systems.
• Understanding of AutoCAD / Revit, AMTECH (Trimble).
• High levels of organisation and attention to detail.
• IT Literate.
