Job summary

A leading engineering and maintenance provider is seeking an experienced engineer with over 10 years of experience, particularly in hazardous area installations. The role includes overseeing design packs, conducting engineering calculations, and advising other engineers. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential. Candidates should be degree qualified or have a time-served apprenticeship, with knowledge of electrical installations under BS7671 (18th Edition).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in engineering, particularly in hazardous area installations.
• Demonstrable experience with gas analytical and metering systems.
• Knowledge of electrical installations per BS7671 (18th Edition).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of design packs and ensure their accuracy.
• Carry out and review various engineering calculations.
• Check and approve other engineers' designs.
• Advise and train other engineers on guidelines.
• Work closely with site-based engineers to improve standards.
• Suggest improvements for existing processes.
