Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver RIBA Stages 2 - 6 in line with client requirements.
• Driving governance, compliance, and continuous improvement across design management processes.
• Fostering collaboration and technical excellence across all stakeholders and disciplines.
• Acting as primary escalation points for design issues and structured delivery.
• Manage weekly multi-disciplinary meetings to set priorities and resolve escalations.
• Overseeing validation of deliverables, contract documentation, and design protocols.
• Managing onboarding, resource allocation, and team performance across SSHP lots.
• Supporting Project Leads on design-led items, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
• Working closely with the Technical Assurance lead and collaborating with all design disciplines as well as the wider project teams, particularly Project Management leads, to develop appropriate processes and tools to support design delivery.
• Direct design reviews and assurance to ensure quality, compliance, and client alignment.
• Oversees design governance within briefs and contracts, embedding portfolio standards and best practice.
• Drives continuous improvement through the review of lessons learned, understanding priorities and escalation points enhancing delivery outcomes.
