Overview

We're looking for a Senior Design Manager to join our Natural Resources team, working on a major project in the Thames Valley region at Hogsmill in Surrey. In this role you'll oversee the design phase of construction projects on wastewater treatment upgrades and resilience works.

Location and Contract

Location: Working from home and site/offices as required with main focus on the Hogsmill site in Surrey. Contract: Permanent, Full Time. Flexible and part-time hours may be available; let us know.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the design phase of civils-based construction projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to high quality standards (Thames Water WAAP project for sewage treatment and water assets).
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and design consultants to develop comprehensive design solutions.
  • Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
  • Ensure adherence to design standards, building codes, and client requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective design management processes and procedures.
  • Monitor design progress, identify issues or risks, and manage design change control and documentation.
What We’re Looking For / Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
  • Proven experience as a Design Manager or similar role in the civils/construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM).
