Job summary

A prominent recruitment agency is seeking a Band 6 Senior CYPMH Practitioner to work with a Community Mental Health Team in Morecambe. Job description

Belmont Recruitment is working with a Morecambe based Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) seeking a Band 6 Senior CYPMH Practitioner (RMN/ Social Worker/OT) on a contract basis.

Role: The successful applicant will work with children, young people and families up to 18 years presenting with moderate to severe emotional and mental difficulties. The role is a 3–6 month contract with potential extension.

Qualifications
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with at least 18 months experience working with children and young people with emotional and mental health needs.
  • Must hold an NMC registration.
Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments of young people admitted to the children’s ward or who have attended A&E requiring a mental health assessment.
  • Assess risk and determine safe discharge.
  • Follow-up young people and decide whether discharge from service or forward for allocation.
  • Undertake urgent assessments for young people referred into service with urgent needs.
  • Part‑time hours: Mon, Tue (9–5), Wed (9–12.30), total of 18.5 hours per week.
Pay

£24.00–£25.00 per hour depending on experience.
