  • 2+ PQE Court of Protection Solicitor or Legal Executive.
  • Proven experience with deputyship/trustee matters.
  • Exposure to high-value work or serious injury litigation.
  • Previous team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Run your own caseload of complex Deputyship and Trustee matters.
  • Oversee and delegate work to junior fee earners.
  • Help grow the team with a clear local strategy for Court of Protection work.
  • Attend clients in care settings, hospitals, and at home.
  • Lead Business Development efforts with marketing support.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Court of Protection Solicitor who’s hungry to take the reins and step into a key leadership role within a nationally respected firm.

Whether you’re a Grade B or experienced Grade C fee earner with solid high-value litigation exposure (think serious injury, burns or birth injury), or already operating at Partner level, you’ll have the chance to own the Leeds Court of Protection offering, guide junior lawyers, and access the firm’s generous growth budget and marketing support to take things to the next level.

Who we’re looking for
  • 2+ PQE Court of Protection Solicitor or Legal Executive
  • Proven experience with deputyship / trustee matters
  • Exposure to high-value work or serious injury litigation
  • Previous team leadership experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and mentor junior team members
  • Strategic and commercially aware with an interest in BD
What you’ll be doing
  • Run your own caseload of complex Deputyship and Trustee matters (pre- and post-settlement)
  • Oversee and delegate work to junior fee earners
  • Help grow the team and develop a clear local strategy for Court of Protection work
  • Attend clients in care settings, hospitals, and at home
  • Lead BD efforts with marketing support and budget to match
  • Input into wider firm leadership and innovation
  • Work alongside highly respected partners across offices
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary : Competitive, DOE (Partner or future Partner level)
  • Bonus : Up to 14%, and up to 20% at Partner level
  • Holiday : 35 days including bank holidays + 3 optional buyable days
