Senior Consultant – Workday Finance

UK – ORC – Competitive compensation (including bonus).

Workday Finance Senior Consultant is expected to be instrumental in leveraging the Workday Financial Management system to drive efficient and accurate financial operations. You will collaborate closely with finance, accounting, IT and other cross‑functional teams to optimise our Workday financial solutions, ensure data integrity, and provide actionable financial insights.

Responsibilities
  • Workday System Administration & Configuration: manage, configure and maintain Workday Financial Management modules; design and test configurations, business processes and calculated fields; analyse release notes; troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis.
  • Financial Process Optimization & Support: provide end‑user support; translate business requirements into functional specifications; identify opportunities for process improvement; conduct testing and user acceptance testing; create training materials and documentation.
  • Reporting, Analytics & Data Integrity: develop custom financial reports, dashboards and KPIs; conduct financial data analysis; assist in data audits and quality measures; collaborate with IT for alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Project Management & Collaboration: participate in implementation and enhancement projects; lead or co‑lead design sessions; collaborate with cross‑functional teams; manage project scope and client expectations; mentor junior team members.
Requirements

Required:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Workday/ERP Financial Consultant.

Preferred:

  • Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles and financial management practices.
  • Proven ability to manage and optimise ERP systems, specifically Workday.
  • Workday Financials certification (e.g., Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Strategic Sourcing, Customer Contracts, Projects).
  • Proficiency in financial data analysis and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Workday Security is a plus.
